Business Description
Brie Blakeman, CBCC-KA, CPDT-KA, is a certified professional dog trainer and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. She grew up with an affinity for animals. As a child, she trained her family's standard poodles, rats and parrots. She also spent a few years training Western trail horses to perform Dressage. After adopting Yuka, a Siberian Husky with some behavior issues, Brie decided to focus on dog training. She immersed herself in the study of animal behavior sciences, and pursued her professional dog training certificate.
Alongside running her own business, Brie teaches a variety of group classes at The Oregon Humane Society, helping clients understand and address behaviors like separation anxiety, hyperactivity and reactivity. When she's not teaching, Brie and Yuka enjoy the sport of Mushing as well as performing trick sequences for the occasional TV commercial.
