Jorge (Hor-heh) Ivan was born in Mexico City. Jorge's initial exposure to fitness started at the age of four in his neighborhood. From this very young age, Jorge began to understand the value of team-work and the importance of individual discipline, motivation and dedication in order to accomplish a goal.

Jorge Ivan attended CAL in the late 90s; being part of such prestigious and competitive institution in many aspects, Jorge Ivan understood to its full content the importance of living a balanced lifestyle. He observed life was not just academics or athletics, religion or free-spirit living, eating healthy or not but to maintain a balance in every direction we choose to participate.

In 2008 after a disappointing experience in the Beijing Olympics, Jorge Ivan decided to focus his full attention in developing Yuca Fitness® and the vision of sharing his health and fitness knowledge regardless of ethnicity, age, gender or experience level; hence our motto "Wellness Without Borders."
