Business Description

Michael T. Villella, Artistic Director

Michael began his professional training at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB), where he studied under the tutelage of Marcia Dale Weary, Leslie Hench, and Laszlo Berdo. While dancing at CPYB Michael developed a strong appreciation for the art of ballet and an even strong appreciation for the art of teaching.

After dancing professionally with Ballet Austin II and Oklahoma City Ballet, Michael chose to follow his greater passion for teaching. A native of western Pennsylvania, Michael wanted to bring back to his community the same opportunities he had to leave to seek out. He founded the Western Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in February of 2012 where he hopes to share his knowledge and passion for the art of ballet.
