Karen La Bonte, the winemaker and owner of Trio Vintners, waited a long time to fulfill her dream of owning a winery and becoming a winemaker as a second career. After 30 rewarding years in telecommunications, she finally had the opportunity to execute that dream. Crossing the mountains from the west side of Washington State to the east side, she made her home in Walla Walla, one of the premier wine countries within the United States.
