Herb and Karen Bandy are co-directors of Jacksonville Transcendental Meditation® (TM) Center. Herb was certified as a TM teacher in 1984. He has an engineering degree from Howard University, did graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania, and worked for over 30 years as a research engineer. Karen has been a certified TM teacher since 1977 and has also been a Congressional staffer, technology analyst, science writer, and entrepreneur. She has a BA from University of Wisconsin and an MS from George Washington University. The Bandys work locally and through other international organizations to help people reduce stress and improve their lives through the TM technique.
