Business Description

Zhenyao Mo was born in Mainland China. He came to the US in 2001 to study at University of Southern California for a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science. Currently he works for Google as a software engineer. Zhenyao started Zen practice from 2005. In 2012 he officially took refuge with the 85th Patriarch of Zen, Shifu Wu Chueh Miao-Tien, and received his spiritual name Guangming from Shifu.

Zhenyao started teaching Zen to others since 2009. He offered regular classes to colleagues at Google, in various local libraries and community centers, as well as established Zen centers. In October 2023, per Shifu's guidance, Zhenyao moved from bay area to Southern California to start a new Buddhaland on Earth Zen Meditation Center in the City of Torrance. He hopes to connect with local residents as well as spiritual people from all walks world wide.
