A few years later, Mr. Thomas purchased the company, and with his two sons, Swofford and David, along with his son-in-law Harold West, the company was re-named "Thomas & West". Mr. West left the company to enter the ministry in the 1950s, and the company's name was changed to "Thomas & Sons". Since then, the business has grown and expanded, but their commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction has remained the same.

Derrick, the current owner of Thomas & Sons Tuxedo Shop, is the third generation of owners. He has been in the family business since 1980 and is married to Jeanne for over 25 years. Derrick and Jeanne have one daughter and two sons, and his sons currently work in the family business.
