Business Description
OCF founder and executive director, Brian R. Hill, is a dental industry veteran, oral cancer survivor, active speaker, and oral cancer advocate. After undergoing radiation and surgery treatments, he survived a late stage oral cancer in 1998. In 2000 he and his wife Ingrid put up the money to found The Oral Cancer Foundation, a national non-profit charity to provide information, support, and advocacy to others with the disease. As the director of OCF, he has appeared spoke directly to the issue of public awareness of oral cancer and the early detection of the disease. Through his efforts, the foundation has begun distribution of PSA's on TV educating the public on the dangers of oral cancer, and the need to obtain an annual screening for it. These PSA's feature well known celebrities whose lives have been affected by oral cancer such as actor Jack Klugman who is a survivor, and actress Blythe Danner who lost her husband, Director/Producer Bruce Paltrow, to oral cancer in 2002.
