In 1955, Ron and Lucille Engel moved from Waterloo, Iowa, and became owners of The Foursome. Their son Gordy joined the family business and currently serves as the company's president. Gordy's daughters Nicole and Keri and son Michael have also come on board to help run the family business.

In 2009, after 74 years in Wayzata, The Foursome moved to its current location in Plymouth. The brand new store offers men's apparel, including big and tall, and shoes for the entire family.

Gordy Engel graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1969. He owns and operates The Foursome clothing store in Plymouth, MN.
