Dr. Walker says she is a "late-bloomer" and was already a wife and mother before attending optometry school. Her real life observations give her empathy for the problems families undergo, and a practical approach to problem solving. Her experience ranges from volunteering as a cub scout den leader, and a childrens' church coordinator, to being a board member and volunteer at a womens' shelter for abused women. While in optometry school, she had two internships at an Indian health clinic, which is the reason she fell in love with Arizona and decided to live here.
She is a graduate of University of Houston College of Optometry, and is licensed in Arkansas as well as Arizona.
