This family-owned record store has been in operation since 2010, when Brett, a life-long resident of Columbus and graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design, decided to share his love of music with the community. Spoonful Records began as a way to bring attention to local groups such as The Tough & Lovely, The Griefs, Thee Shams, and Reigning Sound (Memphis) through the creation of a record label. Brett used his personal collection to open up the store in July of 2010, with the philosophy of creating a fun and cool space that he would want to work in every day.

In October of 2014, Brett's wife, Amy, quit her job to become co-owner and Collections Buyer. Together, they continue to offer exceptional customer service and an incredible selection of vinyl that keeps their loyal customer base coming back time and time again. Additionally, Spoonful Records participates in Record Store Day every year and carries all the special releases.

The store's collection is impressive, and it's easy to get lost in the music for hours. All of their used records are cleaned and inspected before they are sold, ensuring that the quality is always top-notch.
