Business Description

Bud began his ski industry career in 1979 teaching skiing in PA and moved to Mammoth Lakes, CA in 1983 to teach until 1990 when he left to take a Sales/Service Rep position with Salomon NA in Southern CA., After four years with Salomon Bud left SoCal to open Snowind in Reno NV in 1994. The shop was located in the Reno Hilton/Grand Sierra Hotel Casino for twenty years and has since relocated to 17025 Mt Rose Hwy. just minutes from Mt. Rose Ski Resort and the Eastern gateway to the Lake Tahoe Basin. Snowind is now a mtn bike, hike, paddleboard shop during the Summers with beautiful riding just steps from shop. Snowind now features Kuhl mountain clothing, Olukai shoes & sandals, Oboze and Salomon hiking shoes, We make custom footbeds year around to improve your hiking and skiing comfort and performance!
