Shakti Dance Movement is a Tribal Fusion Belly Dance company located in Honolulu, Hawaii. As an all-women's dance collective, Shakti Dance Movement is dedicated to empowering women through dance, bringing them together for classes, workshops, and great events.

Kalae Kaina, founder and lead choreographer of Shakti Dance Movement, has over 16 years of Belly Dance experience under her belt. She has had the amazing opportunity to study from outstanding teachers such as Zoe Jakes, Kami Liddle, Rachel Brice, Mira Betz, and many more! Her passion for dance led her to study Odissi at the Odissi Institute with Ratna Roy at the Evergreen State College.

Kalae began teaching in 2004, and shortly after formed her own Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Company, Shakti Dance Movement. As Artistic Director, Kalae is continually expanding her dance knowledge by first and foremost being a staunch student. Devi Dance Company, Kalae's student troupe, is her newest showcase.
