Years ago, I was involved in the Architectural game but am now the satisfied owner of a fine Barbershop. I was prodded to explore the possibility of becoming a Barber by the one who cut my hair back then. The idea sounded good and I invested the time and money to attend a Barber College in Fairfield, CA. I spent 1,600 hours in school, graduated, passed the State Barber Board exam and I was off and running.
I worked for a year with the Barber who had initiated my involvement, working as an Independent Contractor there and then in a series of other Barber and Beauty shops. Finally, in 2011, I opened the first shop of my own... Hidden Alley Barbershop, tucked away in a hard to find alley in downtown Eureka. After five years in that location and making all kinds of mistakes, I pulled up roots and started Robert's Barbershop. Now I am a happy and skilled Master Barber.
