As a student, she split her time between studying music and teaching it. After graduating with two bachelor's degrees (one in voice, the other in music), she continued her musical education at Notre Dame de Namur University, where she earned her Single Subject Teaching Credential in Music Education. In addition to teaching K-8 music education, choral conducting, a Capella intensives, and singing for actors, she voiced the character Jean on The Walking Dead - 400 Days video game and works as an accountant. Rhoda likes to say that she is living proof of the relationship between music and numbers.
