Business Description
Rey developed an interest in hair when she was a small child, and her first clients were her dolls. As she got older, her family and friends encouraged her to pursue her love of hair, which led a formal education followed by her cosmetology license in July 1994 -- plus many classes, training seminars and on-the-job experience thereafter to further build on and expand her skills.
Trained by the Best
Rey started her career at Farhad's Limag in Beverly Hills, California. There, she gained invaluable experience from her mentor, Farhad, who educated Rey and others with love and encouragement. While working with him, she became skilled at hair color, cuts, updos and makeup. From there, Rey continued to develop her experience during her three years as an independent contractor at Sigal Gevojanyan in Westwood.
Co-Owner of Hair Designers Studio
Today, Rey co-owns Hair Designers Studio in Santa Monica, California, with her mother, Fahimeh. Together, they run a premier hair salon .
