Business Description

Greg Slenk is an owner and manager at Overisel Lumber. At age 14 he started working for his dad, Elvin, painting the buildings and unloading railroad boxcars. Greg attended Holland High School and later went to Hope College to receive degrees in mathematics and education. Following three years of teaching in South Dakota and Wisconsin on Indian Reservations, he returned to work full time at Overisel in 1980.

Greg has a wife, Jeannie, daughter Katie, and son Lee. Outside of work he loves spending time on the water, whether it's on the boat or the beach. He also loves golfing and traveling in his spare time.

Throughout his career at Overisel Lumber, Greg has managed all three stores in turn. His favorite part of his job is working with professional builders. "There's nothing I like better than to get creative and solve problems with our builders."
