Helen Owens, PT, DPT is the founder and owner of Orthopedic Physical Therapy, LLC in Homer Glen, IL since 1988. Her emphasis is in orthopedics and practices as a manual physical therapist with a hands-on approach to patient care. She has publications related to shoulder, elbow, head and neck dysfunction, TMJ, and connective changes due to joint immobilization. In 2011, she was one of five health care providers that organized a successful family fitness fair for the Homer Township grade schools which included 2,000 participants.

Dr. Owens has a special interest in connective tissue restrictions and the effects on movement. She often utilizes less mainstream techniques such as myofascial release and cranio-sacral techniques as adjuncts to functional movement rehabilitation to successfully treat her patients.
