Fernando R. Gomez is an amateur writer and avid Mormon historian. Born in Monterrey, Mexico now residing in Provo, Utah. He graduated from Brigham Young University (1967 BESEE). His professional life was spent in Mexico and the Philippine Islands, where he became President and owner of an electronic company (1975- 1995). He served a mission in Mexico (1962-64), and in the Quorum of the Seventy in the Philippines (1985-90). Presided with his wife Enriqueta over the Mexico Merida Mission, (1992-95), the Santiago Chile MTC (1998-2000), and the Mexico Merida Temple, (2001-04). The couple has 4 children, 16 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. This museum, our labor of love, has been family operated since its founding to share a history close to our hearts.
