Jaclyn (known in class as Miss Jackie) spent her youth years training and dancing with Young Dancers in Repertory, a modern dance company out of Brooklyn, New York. She earned her BFA in Theatre and Dance from Adelphi University. Alongside her performace career she worked for four years as a teaching artist in Murray Hill before founding Midtown Movement and Dance in 2017. She started MMDC because she has seen firsthand the positive effects that dance can have on children physically, mentally, and emotionally. She loves seeing her students tackle new challenges every day while interacting with their peers and honing physical and social skills that will last them a lifetime.
