Geisha, the owner and lead artist, has a background in illustration, graphic arts, drawing, and painting, which has enriched her abilities to create stunning body art for her clients. She attended the Seattle Tattoo and Piercing Academy in 2005, receiving certificates in tattooing and piercing before going on to open Chelan Tattoo and Piercing Studio with her business partner and husband Doc in 2006. They closed that studio in December of 2008 and moved it to the wonderful town of Leavenworth, the Bavarian Village in north-central Washington. The shop then moved to a new location in Wenatchee in 2020.
