Michael Peter
Mike has trained in the martial arts since fourteen years of age, and started teaching at sixteen. Since then Mike has achieved instructor ranks in two martial arts. Mike has previously opened a martial arts school in Boston (bostonwt.com) and helped open and run a martial arts school here in Austin (austinwt.com). Austin Wing Tsun is currently the largest school for this particular system of kung fu in the U.S. and has been in business for over 10 years. Mike also helped open a martial arts school in Washington DC (bamkungfu.com) before his move back to Austin, Texas. Both for Austin Wing Tsun and Bam Kung Fu, Mike was involved in the initial start up, build-out, daily running of the business, finances, community outreach and business planning. Mike began his yoga practice in 2000 and completed his teacher training in Vinyasa Flow. He was a key teacher at one of the most successful yoga studios in Washington DC and taught at the White House Athletic Center.
