Carrie grew up in the Midwest and moved here over 10 years ago to pursue a masters in social work at Portland state university. Her and her twin sister founded Heart and Healing Wellness and are passionate about serving the community they live, play and work in. Carrie has several years experience in the helping profession including individual and family therapy, hospice, crisis, trauma and mental health care coordination. She lives in Milwaukie and is so excited about the growth happening in the beautiful downtown. She enjoys biking and walking around her neighborhood, spending time with her animals at elk rock island, being in nature, cooking, reading, watching movies. Family, friends, community and connection are an important and meaningful part of Carrie’s life and work.
