Heidi was born in 1969 in Augsburg, Germany and moved to the United States when she was a child. She was raised by her grandparents and was taught oil painting at a very young age. Horses are her passion and from the age of three, she was drawing pictures of the horses that her grandparents owned.
She trained under Disney artists and art directors at the Connecticut Institute of Art in Greenwich, Connecticut.
In 1996, Heidi entered the Vermont Duck Stamp Competition to create a duck stamp for the state of Vermont. She placed second runner-up in the competition and her artwork was on exhibit at the State House in Montpelier,Vermont for three months.
In 2004, Heidi illustrated a book titled "A Cat Tale in Spiceville" written by Ed Aswad. Her illustrations were exhibited at the Brunelli Art Gallery in Binghamton, New York.DSC03411
