Business Description
I started the business in 1979 with a passion for timepieces that has continued to this day. The love of all things mechanical has been my guiding force and the ability to restore family heirlooms for the public has been a delight to share. I started my initiation into the business by sitting at the elbow of a watchmaker friend who was kind enough to share his knowledge and expertise. I read everything I could get my hands on that delineated proper procedures and techniques and then practiced many long hours. The study of the interesting history of timekeepers followed, and finally, interaction with the public as I became proficient. Once the business grew we needed to hire watch and clock makers. We sought out only the best of the best and made sure our restorations were second to none. At Father Time we have always made the effort to be the best restorers of mechanical timepieces in the Midwest and are rapidly becoming the top choice for people all over the country.
