She has received commissions from the American Composers Forum, Noe Valley Chamber Music, and Tessa Brinckman and has received grants and awards from ASCAP, USIA, the American Music Center, and Meet the Composer.

D'Arcy Reynolds founded the American Composers Forum San Francisco Chapter in 1997. She earned a B.A. in piano performance and an M.A. in musical composition from Mills College.
