Business Description

John Howell founded Cordovan Art School in 2009 after too many friends and neighbors had been asking to take private art classes. Needing more studio space, Cordovan Art School was born!

Shortly thereafter, John and other local artists teamed up with the Round Rock Arts Council to bring the Chalk Walk festival, which brings in 35,000+ people each year.

John Howell studied Illustration at Brigham Young University, and then studied more about anatomy/ figure drawing at the Watts Atelier of the Arts in Southern California.

Today, many artists of all ages find joy in taking classes or art camps at Cordovan Art School. Some artists come to relax and learn. Others are there to gain the skills to pursue life-long pursuit of art.
