With the opening of the Mountain View campus in 2017 and the Cupertino campus in 2018, Calcolor Academy solidified its position as the largest Art School in the entire San Francisco Bay Area. In 2019, the academy expanded further, opening campuses in San Jose Cambrian and Newark. And in 2020, Calcolor Academy established its online school, further extending its reach and accessibility.

The driving force behind Calcolor Academy is Lan, a top educator in children's art and an active Bay Area artist. With over 15 years of art education experience across the world, Lan possesses a deep and unique understanding of both Western and Eastern education systems. Her passion for art and art education is evident in her own artworks, which have been exhibited in numerous cities and widely collected by museums, colleges, and private collectors. Lan holds an MFA in Pictorial Art from California State University at San Jose and a BFA from the Academy of Arts and Design at Tsinghua University.
