In 1983 I brought my Jazz Dance and Fitness business "Lou's Jazzbodys" from California to Brooklyn, NY. I joined Eastern Athletic Clubs where I became the manager of the Dance/Aerobic Department for both their Brooklyn clubs. I introduced Pilates to many clubs in 1995 teaching workshops throughout the NYC area.
In 1997 I opened up my neighborhood Pilates business "Body in Balance Studio" in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. I teach personal training classes to all levels and ages. My specialty is bad backs, rehabilitation, balance, core strength and posture.
Lou is also teaching a free class, "Sunset Pilates" down at the Brooklyn Bridge Park on Pier 5 every Wed. night. This is her 4th year giving back to the community for health and well being.
