Betty Gbehi's salon, Betty's Mode de France, has been a staple in Houston for nearly 30 years. Gbehi was born and raised in the south of France. . After high school, at age 15, Gbehi spent three years training at Ecole Technique de Coiffure. It's one of the best schools in Paris, France to train to be one of the highest level in hair design and haute coiffure.Gbehi then spent another year studying hair color application technique at Loreal Paris. After completing her course she went on to get a certificate at Rene Furterer Paris for special hair treatments.After that, I did an internship with Jacques Dessange in Paris," said Gbehi. "I was transferred to Houston where I also interned at the first Dessange salon in the United States. I was the apprentice to Claudie and Guy Andre for several years. I was so happy because i was transferring to the Bayou City too.Gbehi's passion for hair dressing and her entrepreneurial spirit gave birth to "Betty's Mode de France" in the Bayou City.
