Business Description

Dr. Summerlin started Ark Animal Hospital in Pace, as an individual veterinarian, in December 1992. The practice was originally located on Hwy 90. Over the years, Ark has grown to include six veterinarians and as of 2007, a new location on Berryhill Road. Even though the practice has grown, his philosophy of a "Small Animal Hospital with a Big Heart" has prevailed. He feels it is important to treat clients and their pets as family.

Dr. Summerlin is married and has three children,daughter-in-law, and a new grandchild. His extended family also lives in the area. Titan and Charlie, two Golden Retrievers, one cat and two horses complete his family.

Dr. Summerlin received his DVM degree from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is an avid football and baseball fan!

His areas of interest include veterinary family practice.
