Business Description
I started AquaSafe Swimming in 1991 after graduating from UC Irvine and running a children's creative movement program which incorporated games, songs, props and fun as tools to teach dance. I applied this concept in the creation of AquaSafe Swimming by including interactive and entertaining techniques to develop a learn-to-swim program for babies and children (and adults too!). For example, during a swim lesson, when we teach your child to flutter-kick using a kickboard, our teacher doesn't just say, "Kick across the pool," but rather, "Let's pretend you are a motor boat and have to get to the other side to rescue Mr. Frog." To teach side breathing, we talk to the fish with our bubbles... and listen to them by turning our head to the side and placing our ear on the water (while holding toy fish underwater). Our instructors are creative and energetic, and will design each swim lesson for your child in a fun and effective manner. That's my promise.
