Business Description
I felt that owning and running a business in addition to being an Optometrist would be more interesting and challenging than doing eye exams alone. It's definitely more work and sometimes stressful but I feel fortunate that each office has a competent manager. One manager, Debbie, has worked for me almost 21 years now. Another, Gail for 16 years and Shellie for over 7. They are truly a blessing for me. One of our most recent challenges was switching from paper records to computer ones. I feel it is very safe and secure and all information is stored in the cloud. It was a big challenge for everyone but after 6 months on the new system it doesn't seem so bad. My biggest disappointment in the whole operation is that it doesn't seem to save on copy paper use.
