Business Description
Amy's father, Lawrence Fort, taught her all she needed to know about carpet, hard work, and running a business that pays attention to good customer service. As a child, she spent most of her free time in their family carpet store and with her dad visiting with customers before and after he sold and installed the carpet in their homes.
Early on, Amy decided to leave the family carpet business to pursue her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She tried college coaching, teaching and mental health counseling. All the while she honored the legacy of her father by starting a small, carpet cleaning business in 1997 while pursuing these other interests.
The results have been the emergence of a growing, reliable and family owned business here in the Galesburg, Illinois area that brings the same services, results and friendliness that her dad instilled in her years ago.
