Business Description

My name is Mike "Yogi" Taake. I am the sole proprietor of Yogi Rods LLC. I started this business in 2011. I operate out of my basement and garage. I was taught how to build rods in 1985 by a very good friend while living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I retired from teaching and coaching football and turned my passion from improving students lives to handcrafting fishing rods. Over the years I have learned from seminars, books and visited with many custom rod builders to hone my skills. I am excited to custom build a rod that the average fisher person can afford and be proud of.
