Ross has a long history in the Hi-tech world, beginning long before it was called Hi-Tech, in the previous Millenium.

After his HP years, he took a decade-long break while studying Agricultural Systems at UCSC Sant Cruz Farm and Garden Project, working on small farms from Hawai'i to California and Oregon, and managing an Herb Farm for Wise Woman Herbals in the Southern Wllamette Valley, where he lived for many years before returning to Sebastopol in the current Millenium.
Ross has worn many hats through the years, and has built bicycle trailers for a small company in Oregon, operated a small seed business, owned and operated a nursery specializing in hardy flowering perennial plants, founded and co-operated a BioDynamic CSA farm in Oregon, as well as educational work around reducing pesticide use in the home, garden and farm.
