Ilana has spent the majority of her life poking around the landscape of Southern California. Her admiration of wild places was kindled years ago while living in Los Angeles and using both hiking and climbing in the surrounding areas as a refuge from the bustle and stress of city life. Throughout her years of sport climbing and traditional climbing, she developed a passion for sharing these beautiful experiences through teaching the sport of climbing. Ilana is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.S. in Chemistry. In addition to rock climbing, Ilana's hobbies include surfing, mountain biking, crossfit, ice climbing, canyoneering, hiking and yoga.
