Having started cooking at age of 7 to gain a merit badge for Cub Scouts, The Culinary Dude, Chef Scott Davis, has never stopped creating amazing, imaginative & healthy food since. Receiving a degree in Education as well as a degree from the Le Cordon Bleu Program at California Culinary Academy, The Culinary Dude has combined both his passions since 2005. With the goal of empowering kids in the kitchen, his classes & camps are presented in a non-threatening, pressure-less environment and teaches to the students and not at them. The Culinary Dude was a picky eater as a child and understands the kid's point of view. Once a child has participated in the creating of recipes, he suggests that they "at least try it" and if they don't like it they have his permission to spit it out in the trash can. Bottom line, they tried. "Once students have mastered the process of the how's, what's, where's, why's and when's of cooking and recipe comprehension, a focus on the product will naturally follow."
