Business Description

Katherine Kanzler has been teaching Pilates for 13 years. She is certified to teach through Body Arts and Sciences International. Katie has also received the certification to teach Scolio-Pilates, a method for people with scoliosis. It is based on research and the personal experience of Karena Thek. Katie discovered Pilates through dance in 1996. In 2005, she graduated from CSU Long beach with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance.

Katie's approach to Pilates is that of alignment, balance and careful attention to detail. Her teachers are numerous including Karen Clippinger, MSPE and Rael Isacowitz, both of whom are well known in the Pilates industry. With a wide variety of movement experience, Katie is able to see body mechanics and coach the client towards better, more efficient alignment. Rather than working towards a certain shape of the body, Katie believes the goal is to relieve pain and create happiness now regardless of how a person looks.
