I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. I remember when i was about eight years old i saw a guy surfing at Cocoa Beach during a family vacation. Thought to myself "wow!... that is so cool. I went back to where my parents were at and asked my father if he could buy me a board not knownig that they were very expensive. My father said to me, Mark how bout we rent one first to see if you like it and well go from there. I agreed and off to the nearest surf shop we went. I ended up renting a longboard that the surf shop employee recommended. It was 8 foot long and great for beginners he said.

From there i hit the water and within the hour i stood up and rode my first wave. The feeling i felt that moment was unexplainable, it was a feeling of euphoria, from that moment on i knew that i was hooked and haven't stopped surfing ever since.
