Dr. Kevin Kisich holds a doctorate in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of California, has served for 27 years (active duty and reserve) in the US Air Force as a linguist, intelligence analyst, and done other things that mere mortals are not to know about. His laboratory work for the University of California, University of Colorado, as well as various and sundry pharmaceutical companies and biotech firms has resulted in new medicines and vaccines for some of the world's most dangerous diseases.
Dr. Kisich founded Stone and Cottonwood in order to spend time learning to run a business, to keep his hands creative, and to invent new ways to utilize the urban forest of Boulder county. As he puts it, "There is no reason our neighbors in the Front Range should have to buy furnishings made from wood poached by the Chinese Commies from someone else's rainforest. We have our own wood, and it's just going to waste".
