Nestled in Rainier, Washington, Sprouffske Trees, Inc is a family-owned and operated business that has been a beloved holiday tradition for over 45 years. With 75 acres of farmland, the farm has thousands of trees to choose from. The most plentiful are the Douglas firs, but you will also find Grand Firs and Noble Firs as well. Visitors can drive or walk to the fields, and the farm provides saws and free baling. Before heading out to the fields, stop by the tree shop to pick up a saw and get your questions answered.

The business began in 1965 when Fred Sprouffske planted the first Douglas fir seedlings to grow Christmas trees on his farm. In 1966, he spoke to each of his four children, and the Sprouffske Tree Co. was created. By 1972, the first trees were sold, and in 1978, the partnership became a corporation with wholesale and retail (u-cut) trees being sold along with swags and assorted Christmas items in the "Tree House" (retail sales area).

Although some of the original owners have retired, three of the original five families still run the U-cut sales. The farm remains a significant part of the local community, and it is a destination many come back to year after year.
