Designed by Gordon Lewis, this 6,450-yard course winds through majestic hardwood forests, natural wetlands, and scenic lakes to reveal protected, undulated greens. Savannahs Golf Club has a rich history, beginning in June of 1988 when the developers Bussen & Hayes signed an agreement with the Brevard County Board of Supervisors to donate 168 acres of real estate property in exchange for the County building and operating a public golf course. The course officially opened in 1990, and for almost thirty years, the Brevard County Parks and Recreation department operated it. In May of 2018, the Savannahs Homeowners Association (SHOA) exercised an option to take over the operation of the course, and visitors will be pleased to see the positive changes made since that time.
