When I was a kid, I got bullied because I was smaller than my classmates. I even got bullied by the kids in my neighborhood. Wherever I go, I always got fear which was really bad influence for my mental health.
My dad was the one put me and my other 4 brothers and sisters to Judo. The reason he picked Judo for us for its safety. He meant that Judo would teach us how to fall and land safe. If we got thrown hard, we would be still ok.
