Business Description
Meet Phillip Tripp, owner/operator at Rogue River Sport Fishing. He's 26 years old and a proud U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain. Phil is a full time fishing guide and runs his business out of his home in Southern Oregon. He's had a guide license in Oregon for 7 years but has been salmon and steelhead fishing since he was a kid.
Phil now professionally guides on rivers all over in Oregon and on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers in Alaska.
He begins each year in Oregon on the Umpqua, Chetco, Coquille and Rogue Rivers fishing for Winter Steelhead. During May and June he is on the upper Rogue River working hard to put his clients on Spring Chinook Salmon. When he gets home from Alaska in September, he begins his two month Rogue River Canyon season. He finishes up each year on the beautiful Oregon Coast fishing for Fall Salmon on the Chetco, Elk and Sixes Rivers. Phil is thankful to be able to raise his family here in Oregon while doing something that he loves and has a passion for.
