Business Description

Established in 1988.

At the age of 20, Owner & Stylist MaryBeth S. Napolitano decided to open her one-operator salon: Shear Pleasure Unisex Salon. As her expertise grew, so did her business. MaryBeth moved her location to South Main Street in Herkimer and expanded to offer a variety of services and treatments.

In July 2014, MaryBeth closed her "Shear Pleasure" chapter, and embarked on a new journey. She opened Revelations Salon & Spa, a full-service salon and spa that offers everything from haircuts and colors, gel nail services, to aesthetic treatments (facials, etc.), as well as massage therapy.

In addition to being the Owner of Revelations Salon & Spa, MaryBeth has worked at Herkimer BOCES since 2006, including tenure as the Cosmetology Instructor and now as the Certified Work Based Learning Coordinator. Her educational philosophy is embedded in her work: you can expect to get a great service, and understand how to best treat/style your hair!
