Kelley grew up in Craig, Colorado and I in Moab, Utah. We met while attending Mesa University in Grand Jct., Colorado. After graduation, we wanted to live in a mountain town and start a business of our own. So we visited towns throughout the west and decided to try Park City. We opened Southwestern Expressions in 1987 and Pine in 2007.
We have raised three sons in Park City, our youngest is now a junior at the University of Utah. We have always led pretty active lives and spent a lot of time recreating outdoors. Once we began our family, our hobbies became whatever our kids were into. With three boys, we spent a lot of time skiing in winter, and in the summer boating and riding motorcycles in the desert.
Now that we are empty nesters, Kelley and I enjoy running our businesses and traveling to buying markets several times a year to find unique merchandise.
