Performing Arts Workshops is an exceptional Summer Camp and After School Program provider located in Studio City, CA 91604. They offer a wide variety of exciting and fun camps for children of all ages including Musical Theater, Acting, Music, Dance, Guitar, Filmmaking, Magic, Stage Makeup, Photography, Teen Camp, and more. PAW is dedicated to providing quality enrichment programs to both public and private schools from the West Side to San Fernando Valley, South Bay to Orange County.
The instructors at Performing Arts Workshops are highly skilled and nurturing individuals who work together to bring out the best in children and create a summer experience where campers will make friends and lifelong memories. They have or are working towards their bachelor's or master's degrees in their respective disciplines. Their teaching experience and knowledge combined with the PAW philosophy provides students with a level of training comparable to what can be found at private studios and conservatories.
The PAW camps are designed to develop creativity, confidence, and collaboration skills in children. In addition, each teacher will have cleared a criminal background check before being placed to work with the students. The programs range in ages from 4-16, and the doors open at 7:30 am, with hours from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Extended play is available until 5:00 pm at most locations.
Performing Arts Workshops has been recognized as the Best Summer Camp of 2010 by LA Parent Magazine. They continue to provide quality summer camp and after school programs that empower the personal and creative growth of their students. In 2003, with the after school industry becoming a vital part of the national educational landscape, PAW turned its attention to two fronts.
First, they created a set of standards and practices and a certification process for enrichment teachers by founding the National Enrichment Teachers Association (NETA). Second, they provided consulting to entrepreneurs wishing to start their own enrichment companies through NETA's After School Advantage Program. Cheryl Appleman, who has been working in the after school enrichment industry for over 25 years, founded PAW. She has served in every capacity the industry has to offer, starting as a ballet teacher and building a network of school programs that would become her first after school enrichment company, which later evolved into Performing Arts Workshops.
In conclusion, Performing Arts Workshops provides a positive and creative atmosphere for children to develop their artistic skills and grow as individuals. With its exceptional staff, variety of programs, and commitment to quality, it is no wonder why it has been recognized as the best summer camp in the region.
