Tom Parker, the founder, started the company in the basement of his home to service the clock, watch, and jewelry repair needs of the Carlisle community. In 1979, the business had grown so much that Tom needed a showroom and more help. He converted his garage into a showroom, and his wife, Connie, resigned from her position as a nurse to work full-time at Parker Jewelers. In 2005, Connie was diagnosed with cancer, and the following year she lost her battle. In the spring of 2011, Josh finished his schooling and returned to Parker Jewelers.
