Business Description

Hi. My name is Tim Taylor - ASA Sailing Instructor and USCG Licensed Captain.

I was born and raised in Sydney, and when I was 5 years old my parents took us kids to South Head to watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. I remember being mesmerized by the all the sailboats filling the harbour, and when the racing boats pulled through the heads and turned south, out came the spinnakers, and a little kid with bug eyes and a silly grin was hooked on sailing.

Very early in my sailing career I had just bought an Endeavour 35, and immediately set out from Clearwater to find the Dry Tortugas. After a couple of days a speck appeared on the horizon, and my excitement grew as the speck grew larger and eventually took the form of Ft. Jefferson. Land Ho! At that moment, the exhilaration, the joy, the sense of independence and accomplishment was overwhelming.

These two experiences characterize the essence of Outbound Sailing. It's not about business, it's about all the joys of sailing.
